Non-surgical options for knee arthritis, stiffness, and bone-on-bone knee pain — before you consider knee replacement.
At Axis Medical Center, we evaluate knee pain, arthritis, cartilage loss, meniscus-related pain, and bone-on-bone changes — then help you understand whether stem cell-based regenerative medicine may make sense for your knee. Many patients have already tried rest, injections, or physical therapy and still want a non-surgical option before knee replacement.
Pain is your body’s warning signal. We look beyond the symptom and ask why the knee is hurting, inflamed, unstable, or breaking down.
We don’t tell every patient they are a candidate. The right evaluation matters.

Stem cell-based regenerative medicine is an option for many patients with chronic knee pain, knee arthritis, cartilage irritation, meniscus-related pain, or degenerative joint changes. However, it is not a guaranteed cure. We first evaluate your symptoms, imaging, function, health history, and goals, then help you understand whether regenerative knee care may be appropriate.
We do not claim that stem cells cure knee arthritis. Knee arthritis is a degenerative condition, and results vary from patient to patient. Stem cell-based regenerative medicine supports the body’s natural healing response — for the right candidate, it may support joint comfort, mobility, function, and tissue health.
It may feel like deep aching, grinding, stiffness, swelling, or sharp pain with movement. Many patients notice difficulty with stairs, chairs, squatting, kneeling, or long walks. Some feel pain on the inside of the knee, while others feel it behind the kneecap or throughout the joint.
We may consider regenerative medicine for some patients with meniscus-related knee pain — usually more reasonable when the problem is degenerative rather than a severe traumatic tear that needs surgery. Your provider will review your symptoms, imaging, joint stability, and goals.
Results vary. Some patients notice changes sooner, while others improve gradually over several weeks or months. Improvement may depend on your knee condition, activity level, inflammation, overall health, and aftercare plan.
Usually less downtime than knee replacement surgery, but you still need to follow your provider’s aftercare instructions, which may include reducing activity or avoiding high-impact exercise while the knee responds.
